Console Bliss

If you are looking to purchase a video game system, look no further.  Although the XBOX 360 has much to offer, it is almost completely squashed by its competitor, the PS3.  What makes the Playstion 3 so great? 

The first thing that makes the PS3 so amazing is its robust hardware specifications.  This thing is a cinematic monster of a system!  The PS3 has plenty of space offering 80GB utilizing the super fast Serial ATA technology.  The processor is a 3.2 GHZ processor which uses 8 synergistic processing elements.  The graphical processing is also ramped up as it uses the Nvidia RSX which produces beautiful full HD gaming up to 1080P.  The Playstation also utilizes Bluetooth technology for its accessories, such as controllers and remotes.  Every PS3 also comes equipped with a Blu Ray DVD player which decoded all of the latest sound codecs to give you up to 7.1 surround sound on select games and movies. The Ps3 is also equipped with a wireless Internet interface as well as a standard Ethernet cable jack. 

As you can see the hardware of this gaming console is unmatched by its competitors.  It is also the only video game console on the market that has a blu ray disc player which plays movies and the video games.  For a while the Playstation 3 was the cheapest blu ray player on the market, and is still considered one of the best blu ray players still today.  The PS3 support BD live which is blu ray disc content that allows you to connect to the Internet.  This technology also allows for movie watchers to chat with friends on the Internet while watching select Blu Ray movies.

Although the Nintendo Wii allows gamers to play games online for free, the playstaion network is a much more robust service.  Sony offers a completely free network which allows users to download game demos, movie trailers, and even complete video games.  The best part about the playstation network is that if you want to play a game online with someone it is completely FREE!  Unlike the XBOX 360 monthly subscription, you can pop a game in the PS3 and play on the net in mere seconds and it doesn’t touch your wallet a bit.  This is one of my favorite features of the PS3 because having online capability really makes your games come to life!

The PS3 also supports all the latest sound codecs so you can play your games in 7.1 surround sound.  The sound of the PS3 is absolutely amazing as it can output the sound via HDMI or SPDIF optical ports.  Not only will you get a vibrant HD picture, but you will get superior HD sound to give you the ultimate gaming experience.
