Console Run Down

Nintendo’s promo videos and handouts for the Wii show people of all ages taking the machine for a spin and having a great time doing it.   Company executives say the Wii designers thought about ways to make the console box less intimidating—it’s small, about the size of paperback book—and engineers worked to make sure that the chips inside wouldn’t run up the electricity bill and the machine wouldn’t run noisily.  Nintendo has a long range of successful innovations such as Pokemon, Zelda and many more famous game titles.  Nintendo comes up with enough new stuff to keep gamers of all ages entertained.

The PS3 is made for the serious hardcore gamer.  The Playstation 3 boasts amazing graphics and sound in HD formats to keep anyone who likes a good presentation baffled.  PS3 games also come on Blu-ray discs, which will begin to be a major factor in 2010 as game developers learn to tap into that massive storage space. The result will be bigger, deeper, more content-rich games that fit onto one disc, or a full-length film on the same disc as a game.

The Xbox 360 also boasts HD formats for both audio and video.  Like mentioned above, however;  the Xbox does not utilize blu-ray and because of this games will never be able to be as big or as content rich as the Playstation 3 which used blu-ray technology.  There is a great debate going on about which console looks better, but the fact of the matter is that both systems are amazing in different respects.
