A Dual Core Laptop Is A Must!

Computers are constantly changing as they are getting faster and are able to process larger quantities of information.  For gamers and other people that just want a fast machine to do their everyday work, a dual core laptop is definitely the way to go.

Laptops are very convenient as you can really take it anywhere.  The nice thing is that most public stores and public areas have a wi-fi signal that will allow you to connect to the Internet.  If you don’t have public wi-fi, you can get  a small card from your cell phone provider to have Internet literally everywhere you go.  PC desktops do have a little more hardware power and juice, but if you like to be on the go and need something mobile, dual core laptops should be the first choice on your list when buying a new computer.

What exactly is a dual core processor laptop?  To make it simple a dual core laptop computer is a computer that has more than one processor.  These processors, or core, are typically integrated into a single circuit or (CMP),  into a single chip.  What this means is that the computer essentially has two brains to get  the job done.  Ever heard the old saying that two heads are better than one?  In the case of computers the more “heads” or processors you have together is better because instead of one processor doing all the work and can split it up and get it done much faster.  Many companies are manufacturing and selling the dual core technology. An  AMD dual core laptop, or HP dual core laptop are utilizing the same technology, but their speeds may differ greatly.  The actual speed of the processors are very important to having overall quick speed for the computer.  For example, if a Pentium dual core laptop has a 2.4 GHZ processing speed but the Toshiba dual core laptop has a processor speed of 3.4GHZ, the Toshiba will definitely be able to crunch the information faster.  Make sure you get a dual core system that has the fasted GHZ processor speed available to make sure your computer is fast.

There are other factors as well besides processor speed that will make a dual core computer fast.  Software is the next biggest factor in having fast processing speed.  Depending on how the software was made the processor depends on the software algorithms and the way the software was created.  Even though a computer may be lightning fast, if the software is not made to utilize the hardware, your computer may still seem slow.  Understand that it is the software that is slow, not your computer.

There are other hardware features that can greatly improve or increase your laptop speed.  RAM and BUS speed are also important.  RAM is the way the computer stores and retrieves quick information that it uses often.  The more RAM you have in your computer, the faster you computer will be able to remember and retrieve information and commands.  The BUS speed is something most people do not understand.  Let us make it really simple.  If you have an engine that puts out some serious horse power that pumps oil through a pipe, the amount of oil that you would be able to get depends on the size of the pipe its going through.  A smaller sized pipe can’t send as much oil through it than a larger sized pipe.  The BUS speed is this pipe from your processors to the rest of your computer.  If you have a large BUS speed, than your processors will be able to send alot more information through which will make your laptop seem lighting fast.  If you have a slow bus speed, your processors might be way fast, but hardly any information can be processed, which will make your computer slow.

We hope that you have been able to learn more about dual core laptops by reading this article.  Make sure when you are buying one that you get a laptop with fast processors, lots of RAM, and a high BUS speed!

Hello – the articles here are great. Thanks for having them. I don’t have time to read everything here right now, I found this site when looking for something else on Bing, but I’ve bookmarked your homepage and will visit again soon to see the latest news. My wife and son and I love playing Wii games together. We have such a great time when we are playing them. It’s really a great bonding experience. I have a small site about the Wii. Please take a look at my site at http://www.Wii-Chip.com when you have time and please let me know how you like it. Thanks again for this site – it is really great. Thanks again – great site!
